Researchers from Harvard have proved that those who regularly attend religious services are 27% less likely to die early, than those who don’t. Put another way, for every 4 people who die early, one could still be around if they had cultivated faith and churchgoing. I am delighted to say that this has been widely reported in mainstream media and was in the Times yesterday as above. Perhaps churches should rework the famous “Guinness is good for you” campaign to “Church is good for you!”
My Bible app verse of the day is Romans 8:11 which I thought was very apt “And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.” As a follower of Christ, you are the place where His spirit lives, moves, works and empowers. What a cause for celebration and a challenge for each of us today in spreading the good news of Jesus Christ.
